Pale Drift

Little is known about the person behind Pale Drift, and that is entirely by design. What is known is the music: meticulously layered electronic compositions that draw equally from the click-and-cut tradition of European minimal techno and the contemplative stillness of Japanese onkyo. Working exclusively with found sounds, field recordings, and analog synthesizers, Pale Drift constructs rhythmic architectures that are simultaneously danceable and deeply introspective. 'Substrata,' their debut on Project Lyra, is a ten-track journey through the hidden sonic landscapes of urban Tokyo at night.
